Trail Host training and community skills development

The Pekoe Trail Company (Guarantee) Limited (TPTC), in collaboration with Steppes Travel and the Women’s Travel Collective, successfully implemented a Female Trail Host Training Programme designed to empower women by equipping them with essential skills in first aid, trail safety, navigation, guest engagement and sustainable tourism. Delivered in two phases, the programme successfully trained 40 female guides, strengthening women’s participation in tourism and creating pathways to tourism-related employment and livelihood opportunities along The Pekoe Trail.
