The Pekoe Trail is more than just a hiking route—it’s a community-driven initiative that connects people with nature, supports local livelihoods, and promotes responsible tourism in Sri Lanka’s stunning hill country. By volunteering with us, you can help preserve and enhance this incredible trail while making a meaningful impact on the communities that call it home.
Trail Maintenance & Conservation
Help keep the trail safe and beautiful! Volunteers assist with clearing paths, repairing signage, maintaining waypoints, and ensuring the trail remains accessible for all.
Eco & Wildlife Conservation
Join efforts to protect the natural environment along the trail by participating in reforestation projects, biodiversity monitoring, and waste clean-up initiatives.
Community Engagement & Skills Development
Support local communities along the trail by offering skills training in areas such as sustainable tourism, English language, guiding, handicrafts, and hospitality.
Educational & Cultural Programs
Help organize and facilitate workshops, school programs, or cultural activities that celebrate the rich heritage of the Pekoe Trail region.
Photography & Content Creation
Use your creativity to capture the magic of the trail! We’re looking for photographers, videographers, and writers to help tell the story of the Pekoe Trail and promote responsible hiking.
Event & Program Support
Assist with organizing special events, such as trail clean-ups, awareness hikes, or fundraising initiatives that support the long-term sustainability of the trail.
Volunteering opportunities are available for individuals, groups, corporate teams, and organizations looking to make a difference. Whether you have a few hours, a weekend, or a longer period to dedicate, we’d love to hear from you!
